What's New for 2023?
The Ford Super Duty gets a significant redesign for the latest model year. The available 7.3-liter V-8 engine gets an improved air intake and better tuning. A brand-new 6.7-liter V-8 diesel engine is now available. The exterior of the Super Duty looks more similar to other Ford trucks now, with the familiar C-clamp lighting having been adopted. The Super Duty gets a revamped dashboard and an available 12-inch infotainment display. Four-wheel drive is now standard on the XLT and Lariat trims, leaving the base XL trim as the only one with standard rear-wheel drive.
Performance and Towing
Ford has announced that the new Super Duty will have three engine options. A 6.8-liter V-8 gas engine is standard, while a 7.3-liter V-8 gas engine and a high-output 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo diesel V-8 engine are available. The diesel engine produces 500 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque, while the 7.3-liter gas engine produces 430 horsepower and 485 pound-feet of torque. Diesel-engine models have a maximum available towing capacity of 40,000 pounds and a payload capacity of 7,100 pounds.
